I just want to be real.

I am an artist who is constantly creating.
I am a 'doer' rather than a talker.
I am productive.
I am a painter whose ideas arise through making.
I am motivated and
I am passionate,
I am spirited,
I am a positive young woman.

My lifestyle is an integral part of my art. Art is a way of life for me.
The way I am, the way I feel, the way I talk,
All this is what makes me an artist.

This could be the beginning of so much.
I want to change peoples' perceptions outside of the art world about what art can be.
Many of my friends outside of arts don't 'get' art.
I want to help them.
I want to open people up to the possibility of art.

I am a real person.
I say what I feel.
I am direct.
I am outspoken.

I am dedicated to my practice and the value of hard work.
It's exciting to be an artist.
It's fun to be an artist.
I am making an art of traditional mediums for today.
I show that art is exciting, fun, interesting.
I feel and understand what it is to be an artist.
I am a sociable girl.
This is my art, my form, my subject matter.

I am vibrant and a very positive person, all my friends are always saying I need to be on television.
This is another step in my artistic journey.
I want to make people want to make art.
I am a painter now.
I will be a painter for the rest of my life.

This would open up so much opportunity for me.
This would enable me to develop myself as a professional artist.
This would jump-start my career.
This will help me fuel my work.
This will make me make more paintings.
This will allow me to continue my path in what I want to do.

Pushing my practice, larger than ever.
I would think bigger than I do now.
I would be able to have a bigger budget to produce a lot of work.
I would get better paints.

I am not established yet.
This is the career path I want to follow.
This will give me a beginning.

I am confident and capable.
I want to make art for everyone.
I want to make art for all ages, races and gender.

I believe art is timeless.
I believe art is an expression of self.
I believe art cannot be defined by conventional means.

I create art people view to find a way to express emotions.
I create art about people and the passions that drive them.

And because of all of this
My art needs mass media.
Mass media needs art.
Both need an audience.
I want an audience.

I just want to be real.
