Fashionaires Shoots
NEWS!!! G.G.R.M THE SHOOT COMING SOON THIS IS GOING TO BE THE MOST TALKED ABOUT PHOTOSHOOT OF THE YEAR IN 2009 BUT THEN WE STILL HAVE PART 3. G.R.D.M. the storyG.R.D.M. Glam Rock Diamond Mansion was a very different kind of photo shoot for Fashionaires. It took us in a different direction to anything we have done before. We have done a lot of fashion shows with a great number of people working to produce crazy amazing shows but never before have we had so many people working in one day for a shoot. A strong team of 32 people ranging from 5 Fashionaire photographers, 1 Fashion TV photographer, video camera crew, Fashion TV presenter and Mei Rees leading the make-up and hair team, 8 models, 4 girls, 4 guys, art director, fashion consultant and of course the man himself Anoosh Mr OO. OO had so many different variations of past and present and future collections to illustrate why he stands out from the other designers, where he gets his inspiration from nobody knows but everyday we talk and everyday he is inspired by something.Right lets get back to the shoot. 8 models, 6 photographers, 5 of whom are telling 5 different stories. Strategically picking out the location in this 11 bedroom mansion. Whether it be in the pool, the empty gym room, theinema room, the master bedroom, the dining room, the hallway, the kitchen, garden or the front of house. Every possible location was used to tell a different story. 11 hours of pure creative shooting. What made this very special was that every photographer had to be on point, its not like when you have one photographer and you give that person the reins to produce an amazing shoot for you because every photographer knew that they wanted their story to come out on top. Even if there was a lot of friendship and swapping equipment and ideas at the back of their minds they knew that they couldn't let themselves down. So the pressure was on to get the right location, to get the right shoot and to make the models understood and took on board instructions. One photographer would be a portrait photographer whilst the other would be a very fast, relentless, demanding get it right or don't do it at all style. All styles of photographer were on display, majestically co-ordinated between myself, OO and Yousef the art director. What can I say about the make-up? I felt very sorry for all the make-up artists and hair stylists. I knew their backs were in pain, can you imagine working 6 hours straight and running around a mansion that is 5 times the size of many houses, upstairs, downstairs, basement, every photographer crying out make-up, hair, it reminds me of the movie Saving Private Ryan shouting out medic. There were two amazing set pieces but you have to wait to see the photos to realise what I am saying but all I can say is that one was done in the cinema room, how Michael came up with the idea on how to shoot the shots he wanted is beyond me. The other crazy idea that we had, tell me how many designers would put their hard work pieces on models and then shove them into a chlorine filled swimming pool just to get some amazing shots and believe me Michael and Max are going to mesmorise you guys. The Brazillian photographer Alex who was one of the lead models for the Levis ad campaign in the US brought his experience down on the models, his fast talking and quick movements "if I'm not happy with that shot, why bother do the shot" and then Francis who has been a Fashionaire photographer for almost 2 years, always looking for the right shot. If it takes him 10 minutes to set up to deliver that one shot he will do it and then John the ID shoot photographer, just brimming with ideas. Taking the models and shooting them on top of the limousine and letting them put their heels into a £280,000 car. I hope there weren't scratches left by this as I'm not paying for it.Fashion TV were totally amazed by the shots they got and will give us 26 minutes global coverage. Which for us is an amazing achievement and they promised that they will be working closely with us on future projects. Speaking about future projects we have got Part 2 to do in another mansion. We have seen pictures of the mansion, it is a very famous person's house so we are definitely going to have to set the standards high for this one.Hopefully we can rest in December and then in January we are going to be doing a shoot in a forest so we are looking for 7 models for this shoot. This is going to be another crazy shoot, the Fashionaires way.Fashionaires are definitely an underground movement of creativity with some of the hardest working people in the lifestyle business.
